Counselling and Guidance
SWOs also provide moral and psychological support to help patients address personal and social challenges. Patients are encouraged to seek employment to support their families. Those showing potential to start small businesses are referred to the Vocational Rehabilitation Centre. Patients with minor physical limitations are advised to join vocational training programs, including computer training, to enhance their skills.

Home Visits
In certain cases, home visits are conducted by SWOs to assess the socio-economic conditions of patients. These visits help validate information and ensure accurate assessment for support services.
Student Training
Every year, Social Work students from the University of the Punjab, LCWU, and Government Islamia College for Women (Cooper Road) complete fieldwork at PSRD. They are trained in case study methods to enhance practical skills. Final-year students of PSRD College of Rehabilitation Sciences also receive lectures and hands-on OPD training under medical supervision.
OPD Clinic
After registration, patients undergo a complete examination by our doctors and receive personalized treatment. Those needing specialized care are referred to the relevant department.
