ORTHOTICS AND PROSTHETICS CENTRE
The Orthotics and Prosthetics Workshop has attended to 5,882 patients and manufactured / delivered 6,844 appliances including upper and lower limb prosthesis, splints, braces, orthopedic shoes etc. The Silicon Items, hyperextension and lumbo-sacral corset have also shown good response as these items are delivered to patients in the same visit.
SUCCESS STORY
At 18, Yaqoob survived a life-changing accident that resulted in the loss of both arms. With unwavering support from PSRD and the provision of a right below-elbow myoelectric hand, he received the guidance and rehabilitation needed to adapt to his new circumstances. With perseverance, he learned to use the prosthesis effectively and has transformed into a confident and independent young man.
SUCCESS STORY
Shahzaib, a 20-year-old, lost his leg due to elephantiasis With the help of the PSRD team, he received a prosthetic leg, which has enabled him to walk again. Today, he works proudly as a foodpanda delivery rider and earns with confidence and independence.
