CBR VISION

Our vision is to create an inclusive society where children, deserving, poor and skilled women, and persons with disabilities have equal opportunities to participate fully in family and community life.

CBR OBJECTIVES

  • Empower rural women by raising awareness and providing broad education to enable their positive role in society.
  • Ensure women possess national ID cards and enjoy equal rights as citizens.
  • Improve living standards by assessing homes, children, and lifestyles.
  • Promote hygiene education among rural women.
  • Teach vocational skills to foster financial independence.
  • Provide small loans to differently-abled and needy women.
  • Offer free medicines and treatment to the sick.
  • Facilitate adult education.

DOOR TO DOOR SURVEY:

The CBR staff has been surveying different villages since 1993. This year the survey was carried out in Burka-Kalan, Burki. Medical treatment was administered to 800 patients of which 190 women and 10 children were physically disabled. 135 patients were treated with physiotherapy.

KimGul Campus

Alongside the door-to-door survey, we gathered local women to share detailed information about the upcoming KimGul campus. They were informed that a PSRD branch will soon open in their area, providing orthopedic treatments, joint pain care, and bone-related solutions. This facility will eliminate the need for patients to travel to Lahore for such services.
The Kimgul Campus will have three departments:

  • Outpatient Department (OPD)
  • Physiotherapy Department
  • Skill Development Department

These services will offer comprehensive, quality care closer to home. The community is very excited and eagerly awaiting Kimgul’s opening.

Dua Fatima, a two and half year old, was referred by CBR and diagnosed with Right Hemiplegia, wrist and foot drop, and facial palsy. After nine months of medication and physiotherapy, she showed remarkable improvement highlighting the dedication of PSRD’s medical team.
