PSRD HOSPITAL
Established in 1957, PSRD is a 110 bed hospital. On average fifteen operations are performed every day by orthopedic surgeons which also include major orthopedic surgeries such as hip and knee replacements, non-unions, mal-unions and various other congenital deformities.
Depending upon the patients socio-economic status, E category patients are treated free of cost and others on subsidized rates..
The Hospital also provides nutritious meals free of cost to all patients who are admitted.
The team of surgeons at the hospital is supported by qualified medical officers as well as competent paramedical and technical staff. Separate wards for males and females are maintained and RMO (Resident Medical Officer) is provided accommodation within the hospital to ensure availability around the clock.
Additionally, there are furnished private rooms for patients.
Hospital Information Management System (HIMS)
Implemented HIMS to digitize records, appointments, and reporting, boosting efficiency and patient tracking.
Diagnostics:
The range of diagnostic facilities in the hospital include X-ray and ECG and a well-equipped laboratory. Separate services are provided to outdoor and indoor patients to ensure efficient and quick service delivery for both groups.
Operation Theatre:
The Operation Theatre remains functional six days a week. There are two fully equipped operation theatres with central oxygen supply.
Latest Development:
To facilitate efficient movement of patients and improve digital documentation of patients and hospital records, the Hospital Management Information System HMIS is being implemented in wards and operation theatres.
The Staff training and development process has being reinitiated in preparation for the 2025 Primary Health Care (PHC) regular license renewal for PSRD.
In terms of quality improvements, the CSSD (Central Sterile Services Department) has been expanded to enhance the sterilization process of medical instruments.
As part of ongoing efforts to ensure safe environments for both patients and staff, the hospital has implemented several fire safety protocols including fire alarms, detectors and hoses.
