Muhammad Qayyum from Bahawalnagar had a right leg disability by birth. After his father’s second marriage, he was responsible for his three younger siblings. Yasir, aged 40, suffered from bilateral knee pain for a year before he was referred to PSRD. He had taken multiple painkillers and other medications but to no avail. When he came to PSRD’s Physiotherapy Centre, he was unable to stand and walk independently. He was assessed and diagnosed with osteoarthritis of the knee. In a short duration of eight days, his pain was greatly alleviated by physiotherapy techniques and other treatment protocols such as hot packs, strengthening exercises, special techniques, and therapeutic ultrasound. Now, Yasir can stand and walk as well as perform his daily activities without support. He is extremely thankful to PSRD and considers his wellness no less than a miracle.
