Pakistan Society for Rehabilitation of Differently Abled (PSRD) has been in existence since 1957. With the help of our generous donors, PSRD is able to provide a wide variety of services for the physically challenged under one roof. In the last ten years, almost 300,000 patients have been treated in OPD, 40,000 corrective surgeries have been conducted, 72,000 patients treated with physiotherapy, 48,000 artificial limbs and appliances have been manufactured and fitted, interest-free loans worth Rs 19 million have been disbursed to differently abled persons to help them set up their businesses. PSRD High School educates 275 physically challenged children free of cost which includes books, uniforms, transport and nutrition. To reach out to more children with disabilities, a new school together with physiotherapy and medical services, is planned on twelve kanals of land donated on Burki Road. PSRD has collected Rs. 10 million to start this project and the remaining amount, approximately Rs. 46.8 million still needs to be raised. After being impressed by PSRD, another well-wisher has donated 12 kanals with a grey structure in Islamabad to replicate all the facilities at PSRD. A phased expansion is planned for which Rs. 10 million has already been earmarked by PSRD.  We need another Rs. 35 million to complete this project.
